Splitting Your Schedule into Categories

Make your classes easier to find & book for members

Want to keep your class schedule clean and easy to navigate? Whether you want to separate CrossFit from Hyrox, or your gym sessions from recovery bookings — you can do it with Schedule Categories in Mana.

This feature lets you divide your schedule into clear segments, so members only see what they need, and your setup stays organized.

Here’s how to set it up in just a few minutes.

What It Looks Like

Studios use this feature in different ways:

  • Crossfit Södermalm splits classes into CrossFit and Hyrox: View example

  • Ignite uses it to separate their recovery room bookings: View example

Step 1: Turn On Schedule Categories

  1. Go to your Admin Console

  2. Scroll down to System and Click "Booking & Schedule"

  3. Scroll down to "Schedule categories"

  4. Toggle the setting on

  5. Choose the names for your categories (e.g. "CrossFit", "Hyrox", "Recovery Room")

Step 2: Assign Classes to a Category

  1. Still in the Admin Console , go to "Studio Settings > Classes"

  2. Click on a class you want to categorize

  3. Select the correct schedule category from the dropdown

🧠 Tip: Not all classes need to be in a category. If you skip this step, the class will be shown in the first category by default.

Repeat this for any class you want to separate into its own view.

Step 3: Double-Check Your Schedule

Once you’ve updated your classes:

  • Go to your public schedule page and make sure everything looks the way you want.

  • Try switching between the categories to see how the classes are grouped.
